Business Analyst
Role: To understand and document business requirements. Communicate with and advise technical teams performing systems development.
Reports To: Senior Business Analyst
Immediate Level of Subordinates: None
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works closely with clients and / or Tech Support Team to understand the business requirements, do the gap analysis and prepare scope document
- Plans and organizes the tasks originated from the clients and / or internally assigned to improve and support business activities
- Designs and reviews business requirements and prepares functional specifications for various enhancements / defects
- Gets fully conversant with the products / features offered by Envision to effectively perform requirement development and management
- Provides daily feedback to the Senior Business Analyst on status of client requirements
- Responds to changing priorities on the tasks and takes appropriate actions and provides clear communication to the concerned
- Assists QC Team / development Team to reproduce tasks / defects and discusses business logic during development / test phase
- Reviews the test plans for various tasks with the QC Team
- Reviews user manual and documentation done by Technical Writer Team, if required
- Upgrades technical skills to investigate and understand various functional aspects
- Understands aspects of Mutual Fund compliance impact on business requirements and enhancements
- Identifies and provides feedbacks on defects, bottlenecks or performance issues and help resolving the same
- Suggests product enhancements, based on market / business requirements
- Conducts product and domain training for the employees to enhance product and domain knowledge as and when nominated
- Conducts technical induction training of new employees as and when nominated
- Builds knowledge base and proactively keeps the company updated on various enhancements and changes in the industry or competition
- Keeps him / herself abreast of latest rules / procedures related to his / her domain
