Envision Financial Systems Announces Support for the Microsoft experience Capital Markets Initiative
Envision To Unveil PowerAgent Test Server at Securities Industry Association Technology Management Conference In New York
TUSTIN, CA. June 21, 2005 -At this year's SIA 2005 Technology Management Conference in New York, Envision Financial Systems, the award-winning software company for the financial industry, announced its support for experience Capital Markets, an initiative from Microsoft Corp. for the Securities industry. Envision also unveiled the PowerAgent Test Server at the conference, allowing prospects to experience their next-generation transfer agency system firsthand.
The PowerAgent Test Server will be used to replicate on a small scale the transfer agency environment for mutual fund companies, including the PowerAgent transfer agency software, a database of simulated accounts, webpage interfaces and an interactive voice response system. The purpose of the Test Server is to allow users to experience the flexibility and intuitiveness of the PowerAgent next-generation transfer agency system. Running on an HP Integrity 4640 server with 8 Intel Itanium 2 64-bit processors, the PowerAgent Test Server takes advantage of the reliability of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server database.
“For many in the mutual fund industry, they’ve pretty much accepted that they have to live with legacy or mainframe transfer agency systems which are outdated, notoriously inflexible and expensive to maintain or modify,” noted Brian Jones, Vice President for Strategic Business Development for Envision. “We’re here to allow people to see and feel for themselves how a transfer agency system built on open standards can be so easy to use, yet so powerful.”
